Makino Decatur in Las Vegas

Been there many times last ten years. It is always busy and full of energy. Most of the time, a little too loud. This time, the dinner price was $38.95, up ten dollars. Really low quality raw Oysters and no sashimi. The food does not the justice for the price at all. That was my last time at this restaurant. Good bye.

I went to this place for the first time about 2 years ago when I came to visit. I have been here an additional 3 times and this place does not disappoint. I love buffets and I prefer buffets because of the vast selection of food. Now with bulk style of cooking, which most if not all buffets operate. Usually you have to sacrifice taste and quality so you can have quantity. Makino's specialty is seafood, they have a few meat sections but it's the seafood that's worth the visit. The food is fresh, along with their fish. People out there who would consider themselves as a sushi connoisseur would understand that freshness is important when it comes to sushi. From their specialty rolls to their sashimi, it is good and fresh. I would highly recommend this place.

Very nice service, well cleaned and sanitized place! They know how to manage table layouts for keeping social distance. Sushi quality was great too. They check every customer's fever for safety.

Too expensive $30 each and not worth because no leg crabs or lobsters.

July 1st 2020. This place is open for dine in. As you walk in they check your temperature and have you rub hand sanitizer on your hands. The distance between tables are good. All of their staff wears mask and face shield. They clean and sanitize the table. And the food is amazing. Almost all food are quality. Be sure to support this spot. I will surely comeback here. Lunch for weekdays is $20.95. They have pork belly, shrimp tempura, salmon, beef teriyaki and beef sukiyaki for lunch. Not bad for the price.

Very nice surprise. Staff adhered to Covid policy from the moment you walk in. Delicious selections of sushi and seafood.

I love their food.it is fresh with a alot of different verities of food. It's pricey but well worth it. Well definitely come back!

Busy place! Noisy and high energy, not great for conversation. Awesome selection of tasty food. Something for everyone. Oh, and plenty of free parking.

Great selection of Sushi and Buffet Seafood! Don't forget unlimited Crab Legs. Nigiri, Shashimi, Sushi, all are delicious and made by great chefs. Staff are friendly and pricing is very reasonable. I come here from time to time, I may become a regular... it's that good for the price.

This was my second visit to this Makino location and the sushi and ramen noodle selection was once again outstanding. The only drawback is if you bring guest that do not eat sushi the other choices are very limited. I brought a family member that does not eat sushi this visit and they had very few food choices. Overall, if you like sushi and ramen you will be very pleased, also the servers did a noteworthy job providing drinks throughout the visit.

Sushi are not fresh and smell. It doesn't not have a good variety of seafood option. Only couple of dishes that you will enjoy. It is better to pay an extra 10 dollars a person somewhere else and. Have much better experience.

I've come to Makino's for years. The awesome thing is that if you crave more than just sushi, then this place has your back. You can find crab legs, shrimp, steak, ribs, etc. Their desserts are pretty good, too. However, I must say that even though their sushi is good, it won't be the best you've had. The price has considerably gone up, too. Unlike Chinese restaurants, the staff here is quite pleasant!

i have went there yesterday and a week before, its closed until further notice,Do not go an waste your time.-thx for your reply, but i checked google maps before leaving my house, and saw reviews that were before June 4th an after march 15th. so im like if there reviews recent (of that time i went) they must be open, and both times i was let down. You shouldn't allow reviews if your store inst open

Best all you can eat sushi buffet in Vegas

Nice Japanese all you can eat. I ate sushi, ramen and tempura. Shout out to Florence for your great service.

Don't get too excited. Casual Chinese buffet with bunch of low quality sea food.

Makino is amazing! Really good value for quality Sushi. Large variety of hot food as well, never tried the hot food.

Really fun place with loads of variety. Mae sure you try both sides of the buffet. Ranges from great cooked dishes to tasty sushi.

Love going here every time we visit Vegas. It is a must all you can eat sushi place!

One word of advice about this place, all of the food is excellent, delicious and highly addictive, so before you run to get the first thing that you see, take the time to look around first! Nine times out of ten, you will pick the first thing that you see, then you'll be angry with yourself because you missed something that you really wanted and you have no more room in your stomach to fit it, LOL! Excellent service and sushi selection, this place have something for everybody!!

It wasn't as good as it used to be. Quantity over quality for this place. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good place to eat for somewhere cheap (relatively).

Used to be good one visit and not good another time. It seems to be different now and consistently decent. All you can eat sushi and cooked Asian items. Desserts too. Crab legs at night are good. Buffet style dining.

Been going to this location for over 18 years. Use to love this place... seems as if their nigiri has downgraded. Not as fresh. The hot dishes are delicious. Servers are nice and usually quick with drinks. Kids love their chocolate fountain. Ramen and shrimp tempura are my faves

Was here yesterday. Clean and feels safe. Adheres to guidelines. Food was great too. Staff was superb and attends to customers regularly and serves with a smile. Didnt feel rushed. We were a party of 10 and they answer google map messages quick which made planning easy. More power to staff and owner.

We were seated after a few minutes of waiting. The spread was excellent and they tasted yummy from the sushi, baked shrimp, oysters and desserts. The coffee jello's cream could use more sugar though. The service was warm and Aika anticipated our needs. She kept on refilling our drinks and the cleanup was quick too. We'll definitely dine again!

Whenever I am craving crab legs...this is where I am going. I can get more than my fill of crab here but yes, their fish is fresh, sushi on point, and delicious hand rolls. I enjoy getting a fresh bowl of ramen, a couple shrimp tempura and the trip isn't complete without at least 3 or 4 delicious creme brulee.

Always the best part of Las Vegas. Best buffet in town in my opinion. Sushi and crab legs and fried options. Been there many times and have no plans on changing spots any time soon.

Dinner crab legs are the best! And they're not rubbery like most whack restaurants. MAKINO definitely knows Quality!

If you like Sushi, this is a decent place to go, specifically if you like other seafood such as crab legs. It's a bit pricey but if you go in with an empty stomach, you can make it worth your money. They have a good selection of items. When i'm in the food for both sushi and crab legs, this is my jam.

Sunday 8:20pm arrival. Wow. Wide variety of food here was excellent. Poke, mayonnaise -free sushi, crab legs, peeled shrimp, fried oysters, watermelon... much much more. But they close at 9:30pm, gave last call at 9:15, before I got done with my crab legs. Not really their fault I arrived so late.Next time I will need to get here earlier, and save room for the green tea Ice Cream.

The food choices were outstanding! Service was great for a buffet restaurant. When we're back in Vegas, I'm sure we'll go again!!!

This place was fantastic! I did not know what to expect from a sushi buffet, but we could not have been more surprised. There is any kind of sushi you might want, prepared perfectly. The tempura shrimp was very, very good. The miso soup was awesome. Even the deserts were excellent. I did not get to try everything, but I am sure it would be of the same quality. The staff is very nice, which only made it that much better.If you like Japanese food this is the place. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Busy and noisy. No way the price of $38.95 justify the food. Simply overpriced. I have been there many times over last ten years and I saw this time price went up for 10 dollars, which will be definitely my last time visit. Low quality oysters served. No sashimi at all. The food simply does not do a Justice for the price. Stay away.

Awesome sushi bar! Service was excellent and restaurant was super clean! A little pricey but you do have quite an array of choices. Excellent kale salad also! Would like to come back for dinner when it's all you can eat crab legs on the weekend.

Went for lunch. It's a sushi buffet and I'm uncomfortable with raw fish that has been left out and room temperature cream cheese. I brought this upon myself. The hot foods and desserts are really good, though. A lot of the sushi wasn't bad. They have tiny beef tacos that are excellent crunchy and slightly sweet. They have delicious salads. They have a chocolate fountain (out of reach of children, which is good).But, in my opinion, all-you-can-eat sushi is better experienced on a per-ordered basis.

Food was great, service was pretty good. Unfortunately they raised their price by over 30% from what they were charging before covid-19. Maybe instead of making everyone angry like all the other places that have started charging a new covid tax, they just quietly changed their price. Very disappointing.

It was ok, busy place. Went there Saturday before it opened and there was already a long line. Tons of sushi options which I liked. If you want to eat crab legs, go during dinner time cause they don't have it during lunch time. Make sure to check your plates cause I grabbed 2 dirty plates consecutively and put it away for them to clean.

I'm typically not a fan of buffets with a sushi bar. But Makino offer a wide variety of rolls to choose from, and how many pieces you want. Want a whole roll for yourself? No problem. They make them to order too. Friendly wait staff with little to no wait time. Great food selection, and above average quality taste. Awesome time for $30 AYCE sushi!

I used to go twice a week to eat at Makino. Lately I feel their quality and variety is not the same. You find a variety of rolls but they all are very similar. It's like eating fake crabs on different shapes rolls with different sauces. No more big calamari, no more stuffed prawns, or muscles, no more eel etc. They should lower the price for what they're offering.
